Mother said it's all in your head

It doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes something as simple as the smell of a new book, or a particular perfume, or the wet smell of mud, can trigger sharp memories like a childhood day in nursery, or the new year's night in 2000, or rain that you wouldn't hesitate to drench in - that no photos can. Despite the heartrending fact that everything disintegrates into memories sooner or later, we still have to go on creating them, even though memories are just memories. The pulse of cicadas and crickets is very soothing to me. Although not much, it's all I can connect with and make memories with, and hope to feel nostalgic about years later. I keep a soundtrack of night sounds on my laptop when I go to sleep. Other sounds that I love are the rustle of dried leaves in a gentle wind, the horn of a distant train, the howl of winds through windows before a storm, the pitter patter of rain on the streets, the fall of footsteps on gravel, the rumble of clouds before a storm. Because memories are all we really have.

i used to love the rain. just the sound of rain used to make me want to jump in and get drenched. And i actually did that almost every time it rained. But it has been quite a while now that i've stopped. I don't know why I don't feel that way any more. Few days back I forced myself into the rain. It felt good, but not quite the same as before. hmm. post ta pore hotath money porlo...

I tried to imagine what it must be like for you. Do you click on the all the comments, or do you keep count of the number of comments on a post, or do have another intelligent way of knowing which thread to reply to? :S I liked the twitter. It's blogging, but minus the pressure of having to make sense on some deeper level. Lol. It's just a real time update of whatever comes in your head, in order of appearance. I know no one's asking for my vote, but I didn't like the photoblog so much, simply because it takes so much time to navigate through it.

lol. i have a smarter way.
well, i know. it takes a long time to load. but after it loads, navigation is pretty quick in each page.

Please take your sympathy and dump it somewhere else, somewhere it will actually come of some use, instead of gathering dust in a hidden corner of cyberspace no one will ever click on.

I think that's a smarter use of resources, although I wouldn't say it's a scarce resource so, but since time IS a scarce resource, it is a waste talking about a NOT so scarce resource such as your bountiful pity.

hmm,, i see how you flatter yourself by the previous comment. you sound as if you make such good use of your time and talking about this is a complete waste of your valuable time. hmm.. human nature.
ahem

I didn't really put a pronoun in front of the time, if you care to read instead of hurrying to write something, threatened as you are. I said, and I quote, "time is a scarce resource", not MY time, and that everyone will agree with, and no one will say it is a comment I made to flatter myself. Unless they are letting their imagination run a little wild.

o well, its interesting to see how much a person can miss out on his/her own comment, how much a person can sound more and more illogical from one comment to the next. its a feat i tell you. in your last comment, you wrote - "it is a waste ..." now, why would you talk about someone else wasting their time. its only obvious you referred to your time being wasted. lol. i cant even feel pity for you. huh.

I could just be stating a universal fact, such as, time is a scarce resource. I wish you'd leave out the drama from your comments, because it saves a lot of TIME.
